The History of the Hot Banana

The Hot Banana, also known as Yellow Wax Pepper, is a popular chili variety that originated in Hungary. Since its first discovery and cultivation, it has occupied a permanent place in Hungarian cuisine and has become popular worldwide thanks to its distinctive taste and bright colour.

The Fire of the Sun - Features of the Hot Banana

The Hot Banana Chili has its name for a reason: With its bright yellow colour, which is reminiscent of a ripe banana, and its elongated shape, it stands out visually from many other types of chili. But it's not just the appearance that's unique. With a spiciness of around 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville units, the Hot Banana also has a pleasant spiciness that makes it a popular ingredient in many dishes.

Their fruits reach a size of 10-15 cm in length and 3-4 cm in width. The plants are extremely robust and can reach a height of 60 - 80 cm and produce a large amount of fruit.
